Description
Ward Construction Co. was selected as the CM/GC as a result of its success on 2 previous synagogue projects. Being new to developing properties, the owner was thrilled that Ward was successful in completing this project on time and within budget. One of the challenges of this project was that it needed to be completed in time to be ready for the start of preschool in early September and the High Holy days of Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah. Significant components of construction included: completely new landscape & irrigation, play fields, ornamental fencing, parking lot restoration, re-grading to correct improper drainage and concrete heaving, concrete foundation for new entry structure, new articulated wood framed entry, veneer brick & stucco, millwork, thermally fused wood doors, shingle roof, drywall, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl with heat welded seams, carpet, and folding panel partitions. Completely new mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems were also installed.
