Description
This was the last of the new school projects bid during the year requiring completion the following summer. Procured as a result of a select list, this project included extensive site work, including irrigation and landscaping, two parking lots, and bus drive and play areas. Two systems not usually considered on schools were used due to the site's rural proximity: a water well (and associated pumphouse); and a sanitary system, including a 10,000 gal. septic tank and a leach field. The school included a full kitchen and a wood floored gymnasium. The exterior was primarily split-faced block, and the roof EPDM. The building was fully sprinklered, and also included standard school specialties items, such as, folding panel partitions, visual display boards and skylights.
