Denver, Colorado
Scope: 10,000 sf addition
Duration: 5 months
10,000 sf interior remodel
Cost: $820,000
Description:
This project had an extremely tight schedule. In order for us to complete this addition before the end of the summer term, we were required to start a month before school recessed and expeditiously, yet quietly, construct the building shell without disrupting the adjacent classrooms and library. The scope of the project included: concrete foundations and a three-story structural steel framed addition. The facade was composed of steel studs with a brick veneer and over 100 double hung wood windows. The interior included: drywall partitions, structural glazed tile, acoustical ceilings, and floor and wall coverings. The mechanical system included: hot water heating, sheet metal, air conditioning and ventilation systems, and fire sprinkler systems retrofitted into the existing building.
